The Good


Saturday was Marsha's bday party fest. Since this is the week for scheming, we secretly snuck Lisa down for the weekend. I told Marsha that I had a big present for her, so big that I couldn't wrap it and that I'd need help carrying it into the apartment. She was pretty curious at this point. We hid Lisa in the trunk and waited for Marsha to come down. We made her open the trunk and when she did Lisa popped her head out and scared the hell out of Marsha. We even put a bow on Lisa's head. Oh it was so funny and Marsha was really glad that Lisa made it. We got Marsha this game called fart. It is kinda like Uno except that everything is gas related, there is even a cd included with fart noises. It was pretty funny. We hung around Marsha's for a while and then we decided to go to the lid. We were dancing up a storm for most of the night until...

The Bad


I started getting tired. I decided to call Matt to come and pick me up. I couldn't hear very well so I ducked into the little cove by the front door (the smoking doors). I saw Tammy going outside for a smoke and I called Matt. Well when I tried to re-enter the bar the bouncer asked if I had a stamp on my hand. I was like no, but I didn't go outside, I stayed right here the whole time. He didn't believe that I was inside and then told me I was kicked out. The bouncer was being unreasonable but I said "fine I'm kicked out, let me just go tell my friends so they don't worry." He wouldn't let me. I've done the disappearing act before and I know how much people hate that so I was very insistent that I had to go tell them.

Well I decided just to walk in and as I did the bouncer grabbed me from behind with both hands and picked me off the ground. I started to freak out at this point because I was no longer touching the ground. He carried me through the doors to the smoking exit and threw me. I hit the door on the way in, the wall and then the floor. I landed face down on my arm. I was thrown so hard that my glasses went flying. Seeing as how I'm pretty blind without them, I began to search frantically. Someone in the line up found them and handed them back to me. Yup that's right the whole line up saw this guy do this. I went outside even though my friends and my jacket were all inside. I was pretty shook up. I saw Tammy outside and at this point I was crying pretty hard. I didn't know the non-emergency police number so I called 911. My friends finally found their way outside and someone went to get my coat. My arm is all scratched up, swollen and bruised. My neck and shoulder are very achy. I have a bunch of bruises on my feet and legs.

I can't believe this happened to me. This guy on a power trip could have broken my arm or my nose. I could have hit my head. I left in a pretty shook up state. I was pretty hysterical. When I left Tammy went in to investigate. She told me that she got some phone numbers from some of the witnesses. She also got a description of the bouncer. She told me that there was another guy who's face was all scratched up and bleeding and that the bouncer did that to him too.

When I got home we called the non-emergency police line and they told me they would dispatch a car. They never did. I'm guessing on a saturday night in winnipeg, the police have better things to do. They told me to go visit the station so I did. I gave them a statement and I told them I want to press charges.

You can't use that kind of force on anyone, especially in such a non-threatening situation. Tammy told me that the other guy is going to be pressing charges as well. I cant believe that something like that would happen to 2 people in the same night. Has there been more, when will he go to far and end up really hurting someone. I hope at the least he gets fired and that the bar gets fined. The stupid thing was that there was no cover charge that night and I obviously look over 18. Also I didn't have a coat on so what did he think I was doing. Did he use that much force on me because he thought that I was cutting the line? Isn't that a bit much? I just can't believe that happened and I urge all of you not to go to that bar anymore cause it could be you next time and you might not get away with some scratches and bruising.

The Ugly

Surprise!

Well yesterday was fun. Me and Annabel were scheming and our victim was Heather. We told her to meet us at Carlos and Murphy's for something to do. When she got there it was only me and Matt but slowly more and more staff started showing up. Starting with Chad who came and sat down at our table. She was like "What are you doing here?" and he was like I'm here every friday. Then more and more people started showing up and we finally told her that it was a surprise going away party. There was quite the turnout and it was really fun. See lying isn't always a bad thing.

Happy Bday Marsha!

I would just like to wish Marsha a happy bday for the 15th and a happy bday party for saturday. If anyone would like to join the festivities we will be drinking at Marsha's and then heading to the lid for some cheap drinks and fun times. Hope to see you there! And just in case you're wondering about the photo's, I decided that the second one was fitting cause it's a photo from a past bday of Marsha's and the top photo works cause Marsha's in it. Satisfied?I thought so.

Little Recap

Hey! I've been falling behind in the updates so I'll recap. WORK: I am no longer in box office but I dont have a desk or a computer yet. What I do have is a chunk of dirty looking carpet that I can call my office. FAMILY: My dad was in winnipeg for a week. We went to see a movie, it was definitely interesting to say the least. SHOPPING: I went bridesmaid shopping for the second time for Michelle's wedding. I'm happy to say that this trip was much more productive and I think we're all happy with the results. I'm not allowed to blab about Michelle's dress so I'll just say that she is going to look stunning. Picture above is a long version of the bridesmaid dresses. Yup we got the black short version which is very similar to Carly's wedding. SOCIAL LIFE: I went to the toad for Mike's bday on saturday. I had a pretty good time, I hope Mike did too. Hung out with the IMAX family, good times. HEALTH: I'm happy to say that my muscles are hurt free (for now) and my illness is nearly gone. I still have the hacking cough but it's definitely getting better.

Ouchies!

Hey guys! I'm feeling pretty rough today. At work yesterday, a guy who covered my break was sick and left his germs all over box office. Now I'm sick too. I only started feeling sick today. I had my first kickboxing class yesterday and they were really mean to us. So not only am I sick today but I am sore from head to toe. I cant tell what hurts from the illness and what just hurts. The only thing worse would be if I was hungover at the same time. Well 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Happy New Years!!!

I hope everyone had a great time last night. It snowed a crazy amount so the roads were very icky. But I'm glad to report that people still showed up to the house and I had a wonderful time. The "no hype" approach to new years was definitely the way to go. We tried to play 80's trivial pursuit but it was really hard. The only one that new any of the answers was Matt but he's a genius when it comes to stuff like that. We had some food that was very yummy from Marsha and myself. And then we played some Wii. All in all, I'm very pleased about how the night turned out even though a someone puked in my bathroom (I wont name names, you know who you are). Happy holidays, have fun nursing those hangovers!!
