Weee We Brought the Wii To IMAX
Wow what a great day at work I had yesterday. Matt's had the last bajillion Friday's off because he had too many vacation days left. Well yesterday was his last Friday off so he brought the Wii to IMAX. We hooked it up to the mother of all video projectors. The image was a little strange looking at first but I guess it was because our cables weren't meant to be hooked up to such a high tech piece of equipment. Holy crap was the image huge and the sound was magnificent. A bunch of the staff decided to stick around after their shift to give it a whirl. The people who were the least interested were the people who enjoyed it the most. It was a great way to spend the last 2 hours of work on the Friday before March Break. Chad even brought out some candy so really, what could beat that.
Biggest Purchase That I've Ever Made
I was originally thinking about getting a gym membership but let's face it, they are expensive and I would end up not going. So I decided that my money would be better spent on something that I could use anytime. So I've been thinking about getting an eliptical for a while now. They are just so much more fun than a treadmill. Every store that we went into I hopped onto the display trying to find the one that I want. Well I found it and it was $800 from Canadian Tire.
I've been participating in Canada Savings Bonds so I've finally been able to save some money. Not that much money, but some. I've been trying to keep an eye on the Canadian Tire website to see if maybe it would go on sale. Well my friends it did, and what a sale. It was on sale for $479.99 (40%off) and the best part about that was that Matt got a $150 gift card from CT from his work. Now all I would have to do is get my money from the Gov. Well it was pretty easy and they said they were going to send me a cheque.
Well it turns out that the sale was over by the time I got my cheque. Boo. Matt went to check to see if, maybe, they would still give us the deal. Well it turns out that CT is not fussy about sale end dates as long as it was part of the last flyer. Sweet Deal. We jammed this huge box into the trunk and headed home (well we stopped for drive thru first, don't judge me).
We put it together yesterday and it wasn't that bad. The only real dilemma now is that the roof in my room (where it currently resides) has slanted sides. We had to move it closer to the middle of the room so that we wouldn't hit our heads on the ceiling. Oh well. Now I just have to be dedicated and use it. A lot.

Jenalyn's 2nd birthday party

On March 4th we went to Matt's nieces birthday party near Lorette (closer to the middle of nowhere). She was celebrating her 2nd birthday a little early because Matt's sister is pregnant and due anytime now. I dont think she minded having her party early. It was a very Dora themed occasion which suited her just fine.

Park Theatre Fun Fest

Last night a bunch of us went to see Jackson Gabriel sing many of his wonderful heart felt poetic songs. Very moving! We also watched a band called Two Knots is Lots. We got the thrill of watching Atom juggle to the beat of their music. I figured Atom would be a good juggler cause he practices all the time but I was blown away. Very cool night!
