New Promotion, kinda

Well today was a pretty big shock, I got promoted (well sorta). I guess after Dec there are a number of people that quit. The bonuses get doled out at the start of Dec so it would make sense to quit after that if you were planning on it. Well a few people that I knew quit and my think tank buddy was worried that someone might snatch me up. Well they didn't but they took another girl away in one of our sister think tanks and now I got moved to that one. I dont have a new title or a raise or anything yet. Everything has been moving pretty fast. I have 3 days to learn as much as I can and then I'm on my own (sorta). Most of the think tanks have at least 3 people but mine will only have me cause its such a small division. I was freaking out that I had so much to learn but my other think tank buddies are going to train me and help me out so that I'm not completely on my own. I'll be on salary too which will mean that I'll be eligible for a bonus. Sweet. I've only been there for about a month too! Yeah me!

Christmas and New Years 2007

Christmas!

Well we went to Fort from Dec 22-26th and we spend a lot of time hanging around with my mom and Frank. We had a fire one night, me and Tammy tried to make a snowman but the snow wasnt sticky so it didnt really work. We had a fun trivia present game that Tammy invented. We played some games with Lisa. We had a great meal and opened presents. It was a really enjoyable time. We got home late on Dec 26th and then I had to work for the next two days. Matt picked me up after work on Friday and then we went to spend the weekend at his parents place in Morden. His sister's family was already there. They consist of her, her husband Jay and their two kids Tarren and Jenalyn. We had presents and goodies and played a lot with the kids. It was a short and sweet visit. Went home pretty early on Sunday so that we could spend some quality time with the kitties.

New Years Eve!

Well I always have a problem with New Years because I find that you cant please everyone. This year was no exception to that. I really wanted to go and dance in a smaller bar. Well we ended up getting some pretty pricey tickets to the Pyramid for Me, Matt, Lisa and Marsha. Tammy and a bunch of her friends were going as well. Michelle ended up having a small get together that sounded like a bunch of fun too (but I wanted to dance). Marsha ended up having to cancell because her sister was in the city (understandable) and Lisa canceled because she was sick. We ended up selling their tickets anyways so it wasnt a big deal. We pre partied at Taryns which was so much fun. Once we got to the bar we found out that they oversold the bar by at least 250 people. A bar that is supposed to hold no more than 350 had 600 people. It was wall to wall chaos. You had to squeeze your way to get anywhere and forget about using the bathroom. We were there for 5 min when a fight already broke out. I wasnt having any of it. I told the girls that I had to leave for the sake of my sanity and me and Matt demanded our money back (which we got). We ended deciding to go home (it was very cold outside so I didn't want to risk going anywhere else). Well we ended up being in the bus shack when it turned midnight so all in all, not my best new years.
