Cha Ching

So the tax man blessed me this year with the highest return I've ever had (and will ever have) so instead of doing the sensible thing and invest it, etc, Me and Matt bought a new TV. Oh and not just any TV ladies and gentlemen, we got a 47" LG LCD flat panel TV. It is being delivered on sat and it's being installed on Tue. That's right, big friggin TV mounted to the wall. The funniest thing is that we don't even have cable. We canceled our cable last summer and for some reason we still have MTV canada, the discovery channel, CNN and some french channels. So we might decide to invest in some decent cable or we might just enjoy playing Wii on that giant screen.

So I'll update those that dont already know: I absolutely love my new job! I get to dress the mannequins in the ladies fashion floor and the main floor. I get to pick out the outfits, bags, and even jewelry. It is so much fun! I also get assigned different tasks and one of them was to dress the beds on the fourth floor which was also tons of fun but really hard work. I do lots of walking and some heavy lifting so hopefully I'll be whipped into shape in no time. The days go by super fast and I really like the people I work with.

I'm free!

So I'm finally free from my old job! My last day of work was thurday April 10th. I've been told that every year spent working there feels like 3. So I've been there for a little over 4months and you better believe that it felt closer to a year so the comparison might be accurate. I've been comparing my leaving my old job to getting out of jail, and here is why:

-everyone is congratulating you on getting out
-they want you to take them with you
-they are jealous that it is your turn, not theirs
-they want you to keep them updated on your new found freedom
-they treat their time there like part of a "sentence"

Yeah new job

So I quit my job because I had enough of being yelled at for ridiculous reasons, plus I just wasn't enjoying myself (as most of you already know). So I quit on sunday (yes I was at work on sunday) and I was enjoying the thoughts of my new found freedom. Well I was enjoying it until I started thinking about where I was going to work after my two weeks notice is over. I had applied at The Bay online for a visual merchandising job but after an impromptu interview (which I thought went rather well) I was starting to get discouraged because they didnt call me back. Well I decided to call them to see why I didnt get the job and it turns out that they were just backed up and that I did get the job after all and that a lady was planning on calling me later that afternoon. So my title is Visual Presentation Specialist and I will get to put together displays and put together the window displays. So I'm pretty pumped. I start on April 14th after a long weekend away from . The uniform isnt bad either I just have to wear all black. The funny thing is that I dont really own any black clothing so I have to go shopping. I'm probably the only person on the planet that doesnt own black pants or shoes. Oh well, I'll just have to be extra colourful during my time off.
