Yup, It's True

So for those of you who do not know ( I apologize for not calling) me and Matt have broken up. Well I like to refer to it as a divorce because after 4 years of dating/ living together, we were practically married. So it turns out that after living together for that long, feelings change. I guess we were more in the friend zone that anything.

So now I'm moving out of our house and into an apartment with my good buddy and Nov 23rd bday twin Ryan. Well I cant say that it has been easy so far but I guess I kinda noticed the warning signs and none of my efforts were able to prevent this so I should just accept the inevitable. I have started packing and the house is starting to look dull without all of my colourful stuff everywhere. I've been going through a rollercoaster of emotions which has been pretty tiring. Right now I think I am being "accepting" but in a half an hour who knows?

I've been crying off and on mostly thinking of how much I will miss his companionship, his humour and his hugs. He really was my best friend and that is something very difficult to think of walking away from. We are still on good terms (for now, fingers crossed) but I know it wont be long until all my stuff is moved out and that you would never know I ever lived in the house at all. And without anything to remind him of me, he will move on and put me completely in the past with all of the other ex's. That seems like such an awful fate for a relationship that still has a lot of potential and history.

So I guess I'm left trying to start my life from scratch and trying to keep my emotions under wraps. It is definitely going to be a bumpy ride with lots of ups and downs but I have faith in myself that I can be strong enough to overcome all the pain and chaos and get my life back to "normal". I would like to thank everyone for thinking of me and I appreciate all of your concern and well wishing. It definitely helps a lot.

Current stuff and Stuff I like

So we definitely went to Minneapolis and I'm glad. It was nice to get away. We stayed at the Hilton in Bloomington which is my favorite hotel. Not only is it pretty and modern, it is also affordable and the food in the restaurant is amazing. We did the usual things such as wander around Mall of America (a couple of times actually), wandered around IKEA, went to the Albertville Outlet Mall, and checked out Target. I did lots of swimming and sitting in the hot tub.

On a special side note: I finished the Twilight series (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn) and it was friggin amazing. I read all four books in approx 2 weeks (there are about 700 pages each). So if you like the supernatural definitly read these!! They are now in my top three for books.

1. Harry Potter series

2. Twilight series

3. His Dark Materials (Golden Compass, the subtle knife, the amber spyglass)

Other books I like:

A Clockwork Orange
The Chrysalids
Brave New World
Wicked (pretty much all the Gregory Maguire books, Son of a Witch, Lost, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, etc.)
The Catcher and the Rye
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Ludes
Bitter is the new Black
Memoirs of a Geisha
The Spiederwick Chronicles

and so on.

Movie Reviews:

Iron Man: I watched Iron Man last night and I am going to have to say that the hype was overrated. Robert Downy Jr. is super good looking in this movie and I liked his character but the story was kind of all over the place. They didnt spend enough time developing the other characters. Oh well its at the cheap seats if your interested.

Wall-E: I watched Wall-E a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely loved it. I am such a sucker for cute things and Wall-E is the cutest little robot there is (he is such a mini Jonny 5). I am going to have to admit that I cried several times during this movie but I would definitly watch it again. Also the short film before the film was pretty good too!

The Dark Knight: I watched this film on opening night because after watching Batman Begins, I just couldnt wait to see the sequil. So this movie lives up to its expectations because they take the time to establish the characters and build up the story. They also take plenty of time establishing the villan for the next one. This film was fantastic. I am going to watch it again when it comes to IMAX.

Music (why not I`ve talked about everything else):

I havent been listening to much lately but I will say that my favorite new covers group is now The Lost Fingers- Here is why:

They also do such tracks as :

You Shook Me All Night Long
Billie Jean
Black Velvet
Tainted Love
Touch Me
Part Time Lover
Careless Wisper
Incognito
You Give Love a Bad Name
Fresh
Straight Up
And Pump up the Jam (seen above)

Back from Brandon

So I did go on my work trip to Brandon. The whole merchandising team was there. It was a lot of work but it was really rewarding and it was also a whole bunch of fun. If you ever go to Brandon definitely check out the Lady of the Water restaurant because the atmosphere is very neat and the food was amazing. Plus they have a little store attached and it is definitely worth a peruse. So because of my hard work I get to have a 5 day weekend. Sweet! So me and Matt may be going to Minneapolis for the weekend.

Yeah!

Updates

So I am really falling behind on this blog thing aren't I? It's been nearly a month since I wrote last so I should have tons of exciting stories right? Well lets just see what I remember.

Rock Band (Wii)- So I was over at Ryan's for a nintendo fest and we were playing guitar hero and I decided that I should go out and buy it. Well the next day I tried but I couldnt find the non aerosmith version so I ended up buying Rock Band instead. Well for those of you who arent sure what the difference between Rock Band and Guitar Hero- Guitar Hero only has a guitar and Rock Band has a guitar (or bass), microphone and drums. It is super fun.

Work- Work has been going pretty well. All the people I work with are super nice. And the product we have is really tempting. I may be going to Brandon next week to set up a new store. That should be pretty informative.

Hometown- Me, Tammy, and Matt took a quick trip to Fort a couple of weekends ago for my dad`s 50th birthday party at my Aunty Myra`s house. It was a pretty good trip. It would have been better if the weather was nice but there`s not much you can do about that. Still enjoyed the drunken yatzee!

Books- I am currently reading a series of books by Stephanie Meyer. I just finished the first one called Twilight and am working on the second one called New Moon. Its a very interesting book about vampires. There apparently movies coming out based on the books. There are four books alltogether with the newest one being released tomorrow.

Home- We are finally working on remodeling our bathroom. Matt`s dad has made a couple of trips to the city to do some plumbing and waterproofing so that we may someday be able to enstall a shower. One more trip and we should have the basic stuff done so that we can start to do the pretty stuff. Its been a stressful time but I`m sure it will pay off in the end.

Cheers!!!
